It’s a common moment in therapy: something clicks. You can finally name the pattern — where it came from, why it’s been so persistent, what it’s protecting. It feels like a breakthrough, and it is one. But it’s rarely the last step.

Understanding a pattern intellectually and actually living differently because of it are related, but they’re not the same thing. The second part is slower, and it happens in relationship — including the one you build in the therapy room itself. Insight opens the door. Walking through it is its own, ongoing work.
